Three modules, twelve live sessions: the Jyotisha Studies Advanced Course takes you beyond the basic framework of the birth chart – into the world of divisional charts, new and innovative techniques of prediction, and the next level of insight and understanding.
The Foundation Course laid the groundwork. The Advanced Course builds on it and looks beneath the surface of a chart – true to the motto “more appearance than substance”: what looks promising at first glance often lacks depth on closer inspection, while seemingly modest configurations can hold extraordinary potential. The methods you learn here rest on time-tested principles firmly anchored in tradition. Classical texts provide the framework – but they only become accessible, and truly alive, in inspired live teaching.
Module 1 – Divisional Chart Mastery
Divisional charts (Vargas) according to the method of Seshadri Iyer
• The twenty Vargas and their application, Saptavargaja Bala and Daśavargaja
• Aṃśa Phala: Saṅkhyā Yogas and the Bhāvas of disruption
• Synthesis rules: what carries over from the birth chart into the divisional charts – and what does not
• Yogas in divisional charts, Vargottama, Kārakas, and Daśā and Bhukti analysis
Module 2 – Innovative Techniques of Prediction
• Dagdha Rāśis: how Tithis generate Yogas
• Bhāva Vicāra PLUS
• Yogi Point, Ava-Yogi and Duplicate Yogi in chart interpretation
Module 3 – The Next Level of Insight and Understanding
• Yoga Vicāra as the fundamental framework in which the whole chart “breathes”
• Dhana Yogas and Indu Lagna
• Three spiritual Yogas, Grahas in Trikasthāna, Graha Yuddha
• Primary and secondary strength, Chidra Graha
Who is it for?
For graduates of Jyotisha Studies Momentum Series 1. You should be familiar with Grahas, Rāśis, Bhāvas and Nakṣatras, be able to assess primary and secondary strengths reliably, recognise Yogas and have a firm command of the Vimśottarī Daśā system.
How it works
Twelve live sessions of 2 hours each, one per week: three modules of four sessions each, with a one-week break between modules. For every session you receive the course script as a PDF download.
To calculate and display charts and divisional charts accurately, you can use the browser-based app “Jyotisha Digital”, which you already know from the Foundation Course.

Minimum number of participants: 3. If it is not reached, the course may be cancelled; any payments already made will be refunded in full.
Prerequisite
Jyotisha Studies Momentum Series 1.
Certificate
If you attend at least 80% of the sessions live (10 of 12), you receive the Jyotisha Studies Advanced Certificate, which qualifies you for the subsequent courses in the Jyotisha Studies sequence.
Participation via Zoom
The sessions take place as Zoom video calls. You receive the Zoom link by e-mail and in your course area. You can join in your browser or with the Zoom app (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android). You need a stable internet connection, a camera and a microphone. A desktop or laptop is recommended so you can follow the presentation as well as possible and miss nothing. Recordings
The sessions are recorded and available in your course area until six months after the end of the course. By taking part you agree to the recording.
